They were all sustainable long before the onslaught of private enterprise that brought us the 'Gig economy' and the lessening of freedom of movement. What Westminster has done really well is to carry on Thatcher's legacy of capitalism against public ownership where profit stays with the elite.

This equates to about 0.5% of the NHS budget! Privatisation costs us a LOT more than £1bn so where’s the drive to get rid of private providers in the NHS?
