At Pivovar Kolkovna. I like what they've done with the place, even if it feels a bit too corporate
The pivo: K-Lager 12 is sheer competence. K-Pšenice 11 is a solid specimen of a neglected style. K-Tmavá 13 is waay too sweet. K-Ale 11 is another competent beer, and comfortingly old-fashioned.

A striking facade in the spacious surroundings of the sprawling exhibition centre hides quite a new microbrewery, #Kolkovna. With own-brewed beers on tap, the interior recalls a historic beer hall, with more than a touch of the hunting lodge about it.

Honourable mention to Pivnive & Bar Ferdinand in Holesovice.

At 48kc a pint, its the cheapest I’ve found. Yeah, Ferdinand may not ne the best, but it’s a great air-conditioned staging post near Kolkovna

Zabijačkové speciality mají tento týden i v pivovaru Kolkovna. Třeba vyuzená jitrnice je vskutku parádní a k tomu na čepu novina — tmavý doppelbock. Je to příjemně sladové pivo s tóny karamelu a nádechem ovoce, velmi pitelné. Bezva!
