Gilmore’s getting clean in our mostly original 1964 bathroom. The tiled lip and narrow entry make this shower inaccessible for me. Strangely enough, the tub/shower in our other bathroom works better because I can transfer to a shower chair and pull my legs over. #livingwithdisability

Last year we had the floors in our sunken living room raised to accommodate my physical limitations. It was a huge project and something to think about if you’re designing a space or house shopping. Life is unpredictable and retrofitting a home is expensive. #livingwithdisability #accessibledesign
