i have finally achieved my childhood dream of beating the singleplayer offerings in MHFU. that shit straight up took me 60 hours to do and i still have an entire online section to do solo.

9. Pokke Village from MHFU - I don't think i can think of a theme that feels more homely than this village theme, and its probs the most memorable village theme of the franchise. Such a beautiful piece.

Also yeah, the MHFU saves are hella cheated. The first one is a well known and very easy save to find. The second is fine, just has some cheated items

I just need someone to backport the insane "stab your giant explosive delivery device into a monster and make it explode" moves of the switch axe into MHFU and I will never play any other game ever again. I will stop eating. I will be found dead gripping my battery-less psp plugged into the wall.

It's sad for me to see new indie games targeting realism that will not work on my potato laptop. they have such nice concepts that I will not play for a while
I believe older games have the answer for this: we don't always need incredible graphics; having a good art direction already does the job!

Exactly! Nostalgia for Freedom Unite and Tri aside, Rise is absolutely my favorite MH game to this day. It gave me that exact feeling I had as a kid playing MHFU all summer with my siblings all sprawled over the couches in the living room till 3am.
I like World/Wilds, but they don't do that for me.

disappointing that even though consoles now have actual screenshot functionality (i took all my MHFU shots with a PSP hack), actually saving/sharing the screens is such a chore i can no longer be bothered

NGL that, of the MonHun games I played to this day, this is the one I liked the most, but didn't progress much because playing on PC kinda sucks.
Really enjoyed the vibes and the maps. MHFU also had cool vibes, but playing that one is rough, haha.

Where I'm almost done MH(1) and MHFU is mostly on late-game cleanup, I casually started Monster Hunter Portable 3rd RetroAchievement set, and every time I open the tab it gives me pause 🫠💦
