It was Virgil van Dijk's elbow that hit Alexis Mac Allister, which left the Argentine down with a head injury.
Moments later, Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for Manchester United.

United were quietly decent there. Liverpool still look weird, a bit disjointed (both in terms of personnel and tactically) but a long way to go. Threat in transition is always there for Mbeumo, Cunha etc.

Literally nobody on Sky mentioned Liverpools equaliser came directly from a foul on Mbeumo.
Didnt see Snidey Slot mention that.

Bryan Mbeumo puts Man Utd 1-0 up with just a minute played.
It's the first goal to be scored in the first two minutes of a Premier League meeting between United and Liverpool since October 1995.

And then Van Dijk elbowed Mac Allister in the back of the head and Mbeumo scored a beauty...

Remember, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Senne Lammens have 28 combined appearances for Manchester United.
As impressive as they've all been, we have only witnessed a fraction of what they will bring to the football club.
It will only get better.

Transfer complete to beat Gabriel’s price rise (Isak's won’t affect me, bought him at 10.5m)
Before the deadline, Reijnders will become one of Mbeumo, Sarr or Ndiaye (in order of most to least likely)
Took me too long to get both these two in, but better late than never

Bryan Mbeumo has been involved in 18 Premier League goals in 2025.
Only Erling Haaland (22) and Mohamed Salah (21) have tallied more in that time.

He has the same points as Grealish.
1 point more than Bruno, Salah or Mbeumo.
Yet nobody can see him, at £5m and less than 5% owned.

2 - This is only the second time that there has been a goal within the opening two minutes of a Premier League game between Liverpool and Manchester United, after Nicky Butt for the Red Devils at Old Trafford in October 1995. Stunned.
