Back when Corbyn was leader there was a joke he'd been cuckooed by Seamus Milne. Now feels much the same with Starmer and Morgan McSweeney. Will Starmer wake up before it's too late? www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/end-of...

yeah i think i would tolerate the policy paper a bit more if they argued in favour of greater candidate *heterodoxy* instead of centrism

but the underlying dynamic basically makes me a doomer about 2028 because it somehow replicates the same dynamics that McSweeney had with Labour Together
yeah. i just think trying to claim him as a "moderate" is stretching the definition past its breaking point

Guys, just because McSweeney et al didn't want Lucy Powell doesn't mean there's been some sort of victory for the Labour left, come on. We don't need to crawl around on the floor licking up crumbs and declaring them delicious.

Hope is not possible with McSweeney and Starmer's right wing project. It's just not happening with them in charge.

McSweeney is still fighting the Corbyn battle, they're stuck in retro mode, but the other big driver is corporate lobbyist graft, which is running through everything they do.

McSweeney needs to go, he’s a malevolence working to some other agenda that is destroying this Labour government.

If you are in a right wing party with monsters like McSweeney and Starmer you are certainly not a socialist. Your party pushes disabled people into poverty.
You are no socialist, you are no progressive.
Progressives will not be voting Labour again

Everything about Morgan McSweeney suggests he will react to Phillipson's deputy leadership loss by doubling down on the Reform-lite strategy out of spite

Another reminder this morning that for reasons best known to itself, my brain takes an instant to differentiate between Morgan McSweeney and Sydney Sweeney.

mcsweeney is not a good political campaigner. 😭

it’s insane to me that they don’t understand that.

So: the lobby hacks knew that McSweeney was Peter Mandelson’s glove puppet in 2018, when they were faithfully repeating Morgan’s terrifying secret briefings about Corbynite websites. The public learned this in 2025, because Peter’s bumsucking to notorious sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein was exposed.

McSweeney turns out to be a loser - big time. Labour voters do have a choice.
"As I drove into Caerphilly for the count there was a giant electronic billboard that read “only Labour can stop Reform”.The last minute attempts to suggest that a vote for anyone other than them was a vote for Reform was divorced from reality"

The press decided Starmer was finished when McSweeney humiliated them by forcing them to stick up for Mandelson, who was globally exposed for his Epstein links. This 👇 is theatre, set dressing for Sir Keir’s imminent stitch-up replacement by PM Streeting: a dickhead nobody in Britain likes or wants.

Exclusive: No10 chief of staff Morgan McSweeney addressed a meeting of Labour peers on Wednesday night. It did not go well, for him or Keir Starmer.
