Of course, but 100kg is what I've most commonly seen for the Quaternary.

On the other hand, I've been scolded for referring to "crocodiles and such" as Jurassic microfauna, so it's all a matter of perspective!

need to draw them, but I think theyre neat

basically, slimes made of soul crystals and gel made from powdered crystal mixing with some kind of liquid and/or microfauna, plus the souls of a myriad of individuals who were laid to rest in the liquid

Did you know that soil-nesting ants can reshape the soil they live in? 🐜 By changing its physico-chemical properties of the soil properties, they help sustain urban microfauna. 📢 Info in our new publication 👉 www.mdpi.com/3547020 #urban_ecosystems #ants #soil_microarthropods #conservation

I still don’t understand how we accomplished something this cool as a city, but we did. Yay, ancient peat bogs! Go, ancient microfauna!
"...they watched in astonishment a brown wormlike creature greedily munching through green clumps of algae as if more than 130 years hadn’t passed since its last meal. Equally oblivious, a host of life – water fleas, worms, plankton – danced and spun around it."

Creatures buried in soil for over a century burst back to life in Toronto waterfront
A project to restore coastal wetland leads to astonishing discoveries of a host of life: seeds and plant scraps, as well as water fleas, worms, larvae and plankton

Hey, we all like fireflies, right? Of course we do! So please: LEAVE YOUR LEAVES! Firefly larvae need the protection that fallen leaves provide to complete their life cycle. Even just allowing part of your yard to be covered with leaves can help the arthropods/invertebrates/microfauna living there.

here's more info, they're like brine shrimp and can survive outside water and in various extremes in the tun. but as the regular lil guys they'll die as basically any other aquatic microfauna will.

Charismatic microfauna report from a newer (and sadly more suburban) route include a red-tailed hawk flying from a tree branch, chirping calls from unseen songsters in the trees, and a turkey perched on a fence as if they didn’t know they were a turkey. 🪶
