Trump may be ordering these actions but the military members are carrying them out in our name.
Without legal justification these are murders. In our name. By our military. #Profession #MilitaryEthics

I'm lurching between anger at the soldiers being used as political props and alarm that senior military leaders don't seem to be pushing back against this (and, as a bonus alarm, that at least one of these soldiers is wearing a mask)
Because nothing says “you should feel free to come visit Washington” like standing in front of dozens of armed soldiers next to a guy who thinks women shouldn’t be able to vote 🙃

To the people of the United States: Pay attention to what is being normalized. When institutions are repurposed for personal power, it’s not just a warning—it’s an authoritairan blueprint.

The erosion is quiet until it isn’t.

Pardoning war crimes and dismissing the significance of civilian casualties does serious long-term damage to a military culture and actually renders it less effective to do its job.

The greatest danger isn’t ignorance, but *enforcing* it. 😔 Excellence retreats when mediocrity is empowered. Silence from generals isn’t cowardice—it’s discipline. But silence has limits. 🧵 #MilitaryEthics #Leadership #StrategicThinking
