1/2 Since we published the definitive list of surviving Scottish colliery bath houses 4 more have been identified taking the total to 21. Fauldhead, Tower and Rigg, Dumfries and Gallowoway (thanks to Southern Uplands Mining Heritage Org.) and Lochlea, South Ayrshire (Matt D)….

Added another colliery #bathhouse to Scotland’s definitive list (up to 17 now) Polquhairn Colliery 1 & 4 #Drongan #Ayrshire completed 1949 served around 300 workers. Colliery closed early 60s. Buildings extant but guarded by robust bovine security
