Film 7 of 2026
#SendHelp
Enjoyed every minute, and just when I thought it might fizzle out, boom — it delivers a decent payoff at the end that made me do the satisfied nod of approval. Well‑timed plot twists. An absolute riot.

#MartySupreme
Crackles with swagger and scrappy heart — a raw, kinetic blast of DIY cinema that punches above its weight and never lets go. Oscar-worthy performance from Timothée Chalamet

#ReturnToSilentHill
Silent Hill didn't stay long in the memory. This sequel was forgotten by the time I'd left the cineplex! Did not even reach the very low bar of adequate. Dreadful and plodding

#Primate
The scares are predictable, and the characters feel photocopied from better films. Still, the bloody ending is worth waiting for — a final jolt of chaos that briefly wakes the film from its own mediocrity.

#28YearsLater:TheBoneTemple
Ferocious. Its vision of a destroyed society and those exploiting it make it very contemporary, and that sting is exactly what makes it hit hard. Brutal, tense, and uncomfortably believable.

#Hamnet
Emotionally rich drama about Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes coping with the death of their son. Jessie Buckley is magnificent, making the grief visceral, and I doubt you will see a better performance in 2026

#SongungBlue
A film that proves you don’t need noise to make an impact, just honesty, restraint, and a story that resonates long after. The Observer called it "bland"; it is far from that

#TheHousemaid
Yes, it's ludicrous! However, it knows what it is, and to be fair, most of the three-quarters full cinema for the morning showing went away happy if not thrilled by this thriller

#TinselTown
Filmed in Yorkshire locations like Knaresborough, Harrogate, and Wetherby, it gives it a distinctly British festive charm. It’s a film about second chances and finding joy in unexpected places. Pleasant

#SydneySweeney is terrific as Christy.
Raw fights, toxic marriage, a survival story.
Possibly formulaic, but powerhouse performances make it worthwhile.
Not perfect, but unforgettable.

#TheRunningMan

Starts strong with flair & charisma, but fizzles at the finish. The finale lands with a thud — anticlimactic, hollow, and nowhere near the bite King’s story deserved. 🏃‍♂️💤

"The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears" is intentionally discontinuous and destabilizing. It reminds me of experimental European cinema from the 1970s. A man searching for his wife finds secret passages and a phantasmagoria of sex and bloody violence hiding in the walls.
