2/2 I thought I would apply for a export license.
The person was very frank...there were only 6 licenses to export mutton from NZ and she did not think I would qualify.

I have no idea what it is like now but back in 1992 I was vacationing in NZ and noticed the price of mutton was 10% of what it was in USA. NZ farmers were also complaining of low prices. I saw the possibility of export and inquired for permits. The requirements were simple 1/2
