Recent NYC rambles - on Saturday, I walked along 5th Avenue between 38th street and 22nd street.
It was oddly crowded for such a rainy day, but it was a pleasure to enjoy the positive energy of a boisterous group of New Yorkers.

Little Island. There are these cool outdoor sound structures. Note that they're tuned to the pentatonic scale... The Ontario Science Centre used to have these, until that asshole Doug Ford shut it down.

Today's rambles. The Eagle Warehouse sits on the former site of the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper offices. Walt Whitman was editor of the newspaper from 1846 - 1848.

Today's rambles. I ventured towards the Brooklyn Ferry Docks, and found the traces of the first free Black neighbourhood in NYC. This was a fresh discovery for me, I look forward to exploring it further.
