OMG nudibranches!

The family of nudibranch falls under phylum Mollusca, which are primarily defined by soft bodies, often protected by a hard shell, and move with a singular "foot".

Mollusca includes clams, octopi, and, of course, snails and slugs. Nudibranches are almost exclusively saltwater slugs.

1/2 A trip to Wembury beach in #Devon gave us the Gastropod, the transparent marsenia - Marsenia perspicua, a new species for us, plus a gorgeous mass of sea hare eggs. Yellow plumed slugs in good numbers and lots of Candelabrum cocksii hydroids (see 2/2) but no #Nudibranches such as the rainbow..

#Nudivember Day 7: the starry night nudibranch!

I had to use my Van Gogh paper for the background of the collage

maybe it's because i've been on a bit of a saltwater aquarium hyper fixation but my first thought was "ooh, urchins or nudibranches???"
November 7, 2025 at 7:59 PM
they should choose to trend #nudivember and share more nudibranches

"No unsolicited nudibranches" is more of a guideline than a rule
I captured a Chromodoris willani nudi at Puerto Galera, Philippines, with my Sony RX100 M4, Nauticam housing, and CMC-1 macro lens. 😍

I feel compelled to try to help in what ways I can to donate to the sustained survival of the Paleontological Research Institution. Would people be interested in an art auction for a print from my private collection that I would otherwise not be selling to the public?

Nudibranches are awesome! I have a tattoo of one on my back.

nooo, how come November has multiple wonderful art challenges? I am already set to do Dinovember, but now I'm so torn! Nudibranches are one of my favourite thing on this planet 👀

There now are nudibranches out there with massive egos because of the current administration.

I was thinking it would be fun to draw a series of fantastical nudibranches because you do start with a simple shape and then could add whatever strange touches you wanted

At least it's colorful. Way harder to make it look less like a blob if it wasn't. Nudibranches are fun to sculpt too.

Don't eat wild Nudibranches!

Nudibranches eat Cnidarians and harvest their Nematocysts for re-use in self-defense.

PS. (This is why I order 5/5 spicy food. Nobody touches my leftove
rs.)

I'm taking on an art project for only the most skilled and ambitious: drawing and coloring in nudibranches
