I already love my Creative Sound Blaster AWE32 CT3980 to death with its 28 MB sound font memory, original OPL3 and optional chorus & reverb FX, but with that hardware fix it would be the ultimate sound card.

@bertrandguegan.bsky.social Maybe you've answered this a hundred times before, what do you use to write OPL3 music? both DAW and VSTI. I've tried a bunch of stuff but never found a workflow I was 100% satisfied with.

Do you guys think it would be possible to solder on a SCSI header here?
The card is quite cool, has excellent sound quality, DOS compatibility and original Yamaha OPL3, but for me to put it in one of my actual use builds, I want either wavetable sound or the SCSI header to power my CD changers.

this sounds like the instrumentation is right for GM/FM synth mode a la Adlib/OPL3, but it seems the driver or card is dropping notes entirely.
