10-Minute-Neighborhoods are urban areas where most daily destinations-such as supermarkets, schools, parks, and public transport—are reachable within a 10-minute walk or less by bike. They promote sustainable land use, reduce car dependency, and enhance overall quality of life. Currently, only about five percent of Switzerland's population lives in such neighborhoods. However, the concept holds great potential. It supports sustainable urban development to create compact cities, strengthens local com-munities, and creates a balanced mix of living, working, and leisure spaces.
