I try to convince myself it could be a result of sexual attraction. A degree of objectification might be inevitable from that. But when they mentioned illustrations with 'deliberately enlarged breast and hips, as features specific to black women', I kind of can't? We cannot assign morality

The sexual harassment allegations uncovered by Politico are fucking wild.
Jeffrey Tucker was accused of trying to dress women up like they were “dolls” and other sex pest behavior like encouraging people to have sexual relationships.
AIER sounds absolutely miserable and weird as hell.

Well I've written some lines for a Virgo & Jarl version as well...there's objectification and custard lol
If you and Jarl want it for real...DM me and we can agree timings etc...
Don't worry if not...this has been a lot of fun...and I'll turn it into a useable script...😁

Even grosser when I see we have mutual friends. Did my name come up in conversation? Did you see a friendly comment I left? What sent you down this lustful path of objectification? Whatever the reason is, I will remember your face and I will shun you if we ever cross paths. Useless male behaviour.

He asked, “What about your husband?”
She said, “Oh, you mean the housemaid?”
Then she asked her friend to snap a pic.
And just like that, he stopped worrying.

Being of Asian descent i occasionally run into objectification as well, usually by:
A> White women
B> White gay men
C> Self-claimed 'Alpha men' who believe i must surely be obedient
Eventually i run out of patience and they swiftly fuck off

I'm not trans but i think you are pretty chill when you have the space to be
Anyway, we need more chill people and less brainwormed objectification or head games

But most of all it's soft. Patriarchal "masculinity" wants you to forget everything that femininity actually is so they can mold it into objectification. When real masculinity strives to protect, provide, build. Which is the opposite of tearing down that toxic Patriarchal masculinity promotes

So why would you bring up "but objectification can be good actually" when we're talking about a minority being steamrollered and told to shut up and be grateful?

Anyone complaining about the objectification in romance novels written by women needs to explain nifty dot org

But also? Are you objectifying men? You say you don't want to read books objectifying women, but you sure that you are not doing the same to men. And if you are? Is it okay because you are a woman and these are men?

Also just to lay all my cards completely on the table: I think objectification is good, actually, but only in particular places and agreed upon times, not all of the places and all of the times.
The problem is that queer people are objectified constantly and all queer stories treated as porn.

The whole humiliation/degradation/objectification zone is missing, where I would put both of those.

when i came out as trans to this one friend of mine he went on this long tangent that boiled down to “all those times you [spoke in defense of women or against objectification] make more sense now, a man doesn’t think like that unless he’s putting it on to try and get laid”

The hijab can mean anything to a Muslim woman, and her relationship with it is her choice and her autonomy to do so. I genuinely think sexualizing the hijab when it's meant to be a shield from such objectification is evil & anyone, non-Muslim or Muslim, who sexualize it should be pelted with rocks
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

eve is a lot, but i've narrowed it down to primarily misogyny, especially in non-sexual objectification, as well as the effects of masking the "undesirable" aspects of mental illness in order to project an easily digestible persona

time to go all out, writers. what themes do you explore in your WoL/OCs character?
for example; aurora tackles themes of femininity, motherhood, womanhood, (in some cases) religion. For me when i make decisions as small as gender it can completely alter how I write a character!!

You look great, man. Been following you for at least 2 years. Your issues and humility prove your humanity. You crave objectification, just as i do. Embrace it. You can't really be objectified if you identify as an object in the first place. Wish i was strong enough to even play you for 2 days.

I think this thread is mostly on point on questions of how objectification and own voices work in a lot of fiction but I have a problem with this. Romance as a genre is for everyone but it's traditionally been a genre for women.
The reason that cis women get criticized is because you have taken over a subgenre of romance that should center queer men. Instead, you have centered this space around cis women's wants and needs.

Also I feel like a lot of readers consider any depiction of desire that makes mention of a woman's sexual attributes at all as "objectification" which I kind of think has lost the plot. You can love a woman for who she is and also think she has a great rack.
