also gearing up off classes in this game is frankly a pain in the ass if ur not an omnicrafter/have the means to blow through gil to make stuff and overmeld your gear etc.
esp. if you just came back from break and have to catch up.. this game really expects you to be playing every single patch

like he’s an Omnicrafter in one hook and a powerful mage in another. yall tellin me i can’t mention ANY of the people he’s made close connections to? ( especially in concerns with the allied societies b/c i barely see anyone make efforts to treat them like any other friendly group ).

So I am an omnicrafter/gatherer, and the removal of HQ gathering ingredients was great. Saves a lot of retainer space for materials, and as far as crafting, I feel like it simplified it just a bit. Now if you need HQ you don't need to hope you get them from gathering, and you get more materials!

maybe it's because i'm a privileged omnicrafter, but it's like.... i feel like the least you can do is at least have full crafted gear or wait until you have all the normal raid pieces. i already feel embarrassed joining parties when i know i'm not the most skilled raider.

there's obviously miss fae who doubles as a second main and i'm currently slowly working her up to omnicrafter status + making sure i've got all the shadowbringers optional content done on her. she's caught all the way up to msq current but i need to do arcadion last tier still
