No one understands speculative bubbles better than Bill Janeway. And while he acknowledges uncertainty about when and how an AI bubble will burst - and its ultimate effects - he’s signalling concern.

“signs of leverage are beginning to emerge.”

In Search of the AI Bubble’s Economic Fundamentals
William H. Janeway explains why the sector might be better off if the reckoning comes sooner rather than after leverage piles up.

What are Trump and MAGA doing to our government? A rollicking discussion with two top political scientists. Short answer: it's patrimonialism, stupid. www.wbur.org/onpoint/2025...
Is Trumpism what you think it is?
President Trump's supporters say he’s a heaven-sent savior, cracking down on bloated government and unauthorized immigrants. Critics call him authoritarian – targeting political opponents and using th...

The NPR affiliate in Boston (which I sincerely am a fan of) just called me out for being part of the problem in polarizing America because I wrote "The GOP stands for Guardians of Pedophiles." That is the truth. I will NEVER back down from speaking the truth. Never.

America is polarized. Could this writer's new approach fix it?
Polarization pushes people apart. Writer Chloé Valdary says we can heal deepening divisions by treating each other like human beings, not political abstractions.

Sorry missed this. www.wbur.org/onpoint/2025... is a decent overview of the basic story. There aren't great articles and books on the Euro development. Most of the discussion of the hand check rules hasn't been well worked in such a way that I'd buy it fully in an academic seminar.

WBUR (public radio in Boston) aired a 30 min discussion on wealth inequality and limitarianism (thanks to HH for alerting me). Of course, I have responses to some of the things they said, but they tried to give a reasonable overview of some arguments for limitarianism.

I had so much respect for Meghna Chakrabarti and omg this interview was so shocking because all she did was regurgitate right wing talking points about how "comfortable" do conservatives feel on campus

She was proxying Tucker Carlson 😱

NPR had a story about headlight brightness recently (maybe this one? www.wbur.org/onpoint/2025...) where the take-away IIRC was that the regulation focuses on one particular standard of "brightness" that manufacturers can meet while jacking up what a normal person would call "brightness"
Why are headlights brighter than they used to be?
If you feel like car headlights have gotten too bright, you’re not alone. The National Highway Traffic Administration receives more consumer complaints about headlight brightness than any other topic....
