#OneNote
OneNote also the obvious alternative, but why why why did Microsoft discontinue their Evernote-to-OneNote importer?

Will require some serious thought, research and testing. OneNote comes along with our family Microsoft 365 subscription. Joplin is open source. I have played around with Standard Notes, not sure how it would handle the giant corpus of existing notes. what do you think?

Was würde mich bei Anytype erwarten?

Today's very small gripe: "OneNote for the web can't currently search across all notebooks. Use OneNote for Windows 10 or OneNote for Mac to search across multiple notebooks."

Always Microsoft products seem to have drawn lines slightly short of being truly useful...

I jotted ideas, natty quotes, some drafts, passages I deleted, etc and kept supervision minutes all on OneNote, so it was searchable in the one big database

Moved from Microsoft OneNote to Obsidian, and my god it has not been a smooth transition.

The two behave VERY differently despite looking similar

I have also started consolidating my NightCafe prompts into OneNote.
November 9, 2025 at 6:10 AM
I have
1. put all my Suno prompts into one OneNote
2. started trying out LANDR as mixing/mastering tool.
3. LANDR is a distributor also, like Distrokids I was using. And it distributes forever once it is up
4. I have started experimenting with MiniMax for song production. A lot of relearning.

been trying to use #microsoft #loop for around the last 9 months. It's not a team thing (though we do have office 365). Mostly just my notes from meetings.

getting fed up with constant auth popups, some lost data, can feel a bit clunky at times.

Back to onenote, or apple notes?

And in case David Walters sees this and tries Obsidian, there is a plugin that makes navigation on the sidebar much friendlier to people from other note-taking apps too.

The plugin is called "Notebook Navigator." It might not be exactly like OneNote, but it's better than just files and folders.

I love obsidian. Its better than onenote. Wiki linking. Flow charting. Kanban plugin. All lives as markdown on your computer. Optional cloud if you want to sync your devices but not required.

I thought OneNote was enough, until I paired it with Grok Ultimate note-taking power couple

#HappyFirday #skystorians!

Does any one use #Obsidian for taking notes of *archival docs*?

I've seen folks use it to organize writing/historiographical notes, but not sure how to use for arch research. For ref, I use #onenote for research, grouping notes by archive.

Wow, I'm actually kind of impressed. #gemini explained perfectly how microsoft fu&*(ed up cut and paste semantics so badly in #onenote that it's barely usable at times. They are being too clever..
