Took a closer look at Apache Opendal, the open data access layer and its SDKs for Java and Node.

For a quick test I created a 1GB csv file, sorted it by a field and then created a second file to to store the offsets for each starting letter (i.e. A => 56, B =< 242384, etc). (1/4)

4/ OpenDAL support — users can now choose whether SlateDB uses the `object_store` or `opendal` crate to interact with object stores. OpenDAL has more integrations, which allows SlateDB to run on Alibaba OSS and many other object stores.
