Yesterday, the T46s (minus Strider) & T46B2s continued their prolonged stay inland Puget Sound, last reported in Saratoga Passage. Did they stay over another night?
If they have & you see them we’d love to hear.

When I was the President of my local union, CUPE 3393, I learned that in addition to engaging in unpaid care work, many of our PSWs were hired through a temp agency and made minimum wage. This is an important report that looks at inequity in care work: www.socialplanningtoronto.org/carework

After exiting Port Susan, yesterday's pod spent at least part of Tuesday in Possession Sound, between Hat Island & Everett. Looking forward to seeing if they, or anyone, show up today.

Yes and it's ridiculous. QC has stopped using private agencies in 5 regions and expects the affected nurses and PSWs to transfer back to the public system - because it's unjustifiably expensive. But Dofo's ignoring that altogether!

Opportunities present themselves again today to see some whales. So far, seeing some orcas in Possession Sound right now (12:45) heading north off Everett.
Wonder if any others stayed inland.

Of course there will still be wait lists. Because you treat RNs, RTs, PTs, PSWs, and all staff poorly, you still won’t have enough staff to make this a success. A surgeon is only one part of a surgical journey.
