He is weirdly on brand for San Diego though. Like it's a "military" friendly city that also likes liberal tourism and parties. So this just feels ridiculously straightforward to that area. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same kind of thing happening in Monterey as well.

5-person parties in RPGs deserve more attention. They don’t feel as constrained as 4-person parties, but not as broken as 6+ parties. They’re a nice Goldilocks zone.

In preventing any one party getting an overal majority it allows more seats to got to other (unionist) parties. As 2026 needs an Indy majority to enable a request for a referendum a first vote for the SNP and 2nd vote for the Greens (or vice versa) blocks unionist seats.

Though honestly there was a time when I was libbed to the max until I kept watching these candidates lose and thinking “maybe it isn’t the lefts fault maybe it’s the parties fault” I’m not gonna lie at one time I was a shit heel
Honestly I am grateful to the left they have reignited my drive for politics after years of being told by liberals my opinion didn’t matter all that mattered was for me to get out there and vote blue no matter who

The parties flood people with beg emails mostly to perform for pop cred. They're both bankrolled by corporate money, which owns them and that's why we will never see anything as rational (and profit-starving for the corporates) as the socialized medicine the developed democracies enjoy.
