Very true. There are parts of MA that are way out there. If you go to Pittsfield, MA it's like going back 10 years. I call it hicksville.

On this day in 1870, Michael Riley "Doc" Powers was born in Pittsfield, MA. Though best remembered for how he passed away, he was one of the better defensive catchers of his era. Here's my painting of him with Connie Mack's Athletics in 1902, based on the photography of Carl Horner.
