#Porthcurno
Let the day end gentle. May the waves swish and suck upon the sand, and play the rhythm of the ebbing tide. The sun sat low in autumn’s sky, and my heart resting. Healing. ❤️‍🩹

Porthcurno on a blustery, storm-soaked day. It is always magical, whatever the weather. 😊

Undoubtedly the highlight of our recent adventures in Cornwall was a very special evening with Patrick Wolf at the Minack, a spectacular open air theatre carved into Porthcurno Bay.

The missus supplied the lead photo to this glowing 5-star Guardian review: www.theguardian.com/music/2025/s...

Friday clifftop coastal walk from Land’s End to Porthcurno. Seals, choughs, ravens and gannets to name but a few of the thriving wildlife along the way.

At work we (BT Group Archives) have lots of interesting stuff about the work of the Post Office cable ships in the first and second world wars.

And PK Porthcurno will have lots about the ships of the Eastern & Associated Group of Companies (which later became Cable & Wireless).

Spent a lot of time as a youth around Porthcurno in Cornwall, UK. Where the other end of this cable landed.

One of the best pieces of environmental storytelling I have ever seen is in a display at the Porthcurno Telegraph Museum. Buckle up, it's thread time.

We did a whole term on nuclear literature and film. I guess there was still some element of threat then. Around 1989 / 1990.

We had school myths. Being nearish to Goonhilly and Porthcurno, we'd be one of the first places hit. And, our school had been designed to turn into a nuclear hospital. Fun!
