I took the opportunity of some dry days to finish off mowing /raking an area called The Swale, on The Great Field, Poundbury. There was some really nasty matted Yorkshire Fog and Common Bent, which needed to be tackled. A new blade on the Brushcutter made all the difference. #PoundburyNatureProject.

The Swale/Damers' Meadow on the Great Field (Poundbury) is looking great. Lots of Yellow-Rattle and Kidney Vetch this year, after I cut it back really hard in the Autumn. The Yorkshire Fog (which had dominated in places) is also looking a lot less happy than it was last year. #PoundburyNatureProject

Found a third Bee Orchid colony in Poundbury, but only after I had mown two of them down! They are quite hard to see especially through safety glasses. See if you can spot them in these photos. #Poundburynatureproject.
