Though war tanks rumble over fields of wheat
to chase swift deer across prairies of wheat,
bright flowers of the people bloom again
as we assemble on the river shore
and sing of beauty in courageous eyes
that see utopian heaven we could build.

If someone is being nice to me and trans people, I'm not going to get angry about it, but I hate being called a doll. It doesn't fit me. I'm a redneck from the prairies, I have a tough job, I work around mud and grease. A doll sounds vulnerable, I'm a tough chick and god help me I ain't pretty.

It's ok to value action now, but let's not mislead on nuclear. It is likely to be vital to decarbonization, especially for Canadian prairies.

We live in an area of Appalachia that used to have thriving prairies and oak savannahs so we're using at least some of our space to help species who thrived in these areas to continue to exist

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.

Not quite getting across the whiplash of going from +25 Celsius down to -5 Celsius over a couple weeks.
For reference for my friends who don't use Celsius, that's from 77 Fahrenheit down to 23 Fahrenheit.

"Being a creature of the wild woods and wildflower bedecked prairies, I still cherish the insides of buildings. Not for their contents. Not for the scattered tables or shelves or chairs. I'm most focused on ceilings and floors. To my eyes, they represent where you are going and where you have been."

I am aware. I am also aware that retirees from the prairies often move to BC and take their political views with them. One of my main concerns is the agenda that PP and other radicalized conservatives are desperately trying to spread. It feels too similar to how the current mess in the U.S. began.

Mais si c'est pour attraper des piétons autant abandonner le pot de yaourt !
Je rigole mais on parle de la version 4x4 avec les suspensions réhaussées, qui normalement devrait te permettre de traverser les prairies et champs. En théorie.

I love how English settlers arrived in Alberta’s prairies and poplar forests and thought, “Y’know what? This definitely looks like the capital of England” as they hacked at poplar brush, swatted mosquitoes and scrounged buffalo chips for the fire.
