Yet that little dweeb Murray attended his arrival at Prestwick and Starver attended the rapists court at Turnberry. Joke.

Storm Amy

Ryanair flight RYR7NV squawking 7700 (probably a fuel emergency). The plane attempted to land at Prestwick several times, then once at Edinburgh. It's now headed south towards Manchester.

Meanwhile in Prestwick….there’s a whole lot of fueling…

fAO @snp.org
The US is deploying dozens of KC-135 and KC-46 tankers with fighters to the Middle East. Some are already at Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base.

Could be nothing, but previously this was the first sign of airstrikes on Iran.

Do you honestly want me to believe that it's EASIER from someone abroad, with potentially no support network to fall back on because it's thousands of miles away is CHEAPER and EASIER than someone to move from Prestwick to Liverpool? Really?

I have three thoughts there. Firstly, the Scottish Government makes significant interventions in the Scottish economy constantly, whether via e.g. Scottish Enterprise or bigger single intvs like buying Prestwick Airport.

Secondly, they set regulations affecting all aspects of the Scottish economy.

🧊😲✈️ EMIRATES AF 🪖🇦🇪⁉️

👉 Spotted landing at the ICE hub in Alexandria LA: this UAE Air Force Airbus 332 (tail: 1302) apparently visits this non-military airfield every few weeks.

Why does UAE come to *this* place, though? 👀

Prestwick, Jul 20, the only time I managed a shot of RCAF/437 Sqn CC-150 15003 in good light. Del to Wardair in Jan 88 as C-FWDX and also operated by Canadian Airlines and Compass Airlines before delivery to the Canadian AF in Dec 1992. Damaged beyond repair at Guam and broken up in situ Feb 2024.

Prestwick is the preferred airport for Airforce One, but it has landed at Edinburgh, too. They are the only two Scottish airports it has landed at.
If it lands at Prestwick, it's not a long flight by helicopter to anywhere in Scotland

Nothing!
And I believe cargo flights out of Prestwick are increasing these days. Nothing to stop any of our airports increasing cargo handling except a willingness to do so. You also need the strategic infrastructure to support such an increase.
I’m all for it!
