Two Punters Charged After Climbing Central Tower At Perth Metallica Concert
Two Punters Charged After Climbing Central Tower At Perth Metallica Concert
Two men were arrested and charged with trespassing after allegedly climbing the central tower at Metallica’s concert at Perth’s Optus Stadium on Saturday (1 November), the West Australian reports. * Metallica Australian Tour Setlist Revealed The pair – a 20-year-old man from the Bunbury area of Carey Park and a 23-year-old man from Australind – will soon appear in court following the dangerous act. Police arrested the men during the weekend’s concert. “It will be alleged the men climbed up the central tower inside the bowl at the Metallica concert held at Optus Stadium on Saturday,” a police spokesperson said, per news.com.au. Metallica kicked off their long-awaited M72 Australian tour dates in Perth on the weekend. Their return to Australia marks the first time they’ve performed Down Under since headlining the 2013 edition of the long-gone Soundwave Festival, where they appeared alongside blink-182, Linkin Park, Slayer, Paramore, and many others. Following the Saturday concert, Metallica will continue proceedings with a date in Adelaide on Wednesday, 5 November, before visiting Melbourne this weekend, and wrapping up with shows in Brisbane and Sydney over the next week. Full dates are available here. Reviewing the Optus Stadium show, The Music’s Sam Mead declared: “The ante is upped as all members of the band take helm at the front of the catwalk and shred the life force out of Master Of Puppets to crowd now worshipping the gods of rock as they chant ‘obey your master’ getting a gift of fireworks for their efforts and a hearty chuckle. Cue rapture of applause.” Mead also highlighted the “lusciously expressive” visuals, “effortless” musicianship and banter, and praised the night’s support acts, Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies. Ahead of the band’s first night in Australia, a pop-up store packed with M72 Australian tour merchandise opened in the heart of Perth. The shop was home to exclusive vinyl, screen-printed posters, skateboards, patches, a range of classic tees, accessories, and unique tour items.

You can nominate up to one song from any European country of your choice.

All countries will be in separate groups of four.

Could be that eventually a single from the same country will face itself but, yes, a fresh idea to keep punters interested

Isn't that an issue for a regulator. X/Twitter gives a lot of people reach they wouldn't otherwise have so you cannot blame ordinary punters for using it.

The issues with X/twitter amplifying hate speech should be looked at by a regulator with some teeth, just as with any other publication!

Readers [declining sales figures, indifference]

Editor: oh well
Photographer: I got that clock photo you wanted, boss. Real sexy, just like you asked

How are this lot STILL turning up like they’ve just met for the first time in the car park? I’ve seen better cohesion in a factory explosion. Are we deluding ourselves our club is a stylish footballing ethos? I mean, we’re deluded, right? Some punters are paying £2K a year to endure this. Christ 🤦🏻‍♂️

"A lot of history is about interesting people been lucky. This is particularly true in the history of finance"

Gordon Wallace reviews Val Hamilton's book 'Pirates, Punters, and Politicians: How the Bank of England Was Founded' which makes finance fascinating. Released by Collective Ink Books.

100% agree, we already make a ton of concessions to kickers/punters for the uniform. This looks ridiculous.
