For some reason I thought Naylor was a RHH lol sooooo yeahhhh 🫥

Tucker, Bregman, Schwarber and Alonso are pipe dreams for Orioles fans, and they probably wouldn't spend a lot on a LH 1B like Naylor.

Haven't seen anyone mention Eugenio Suarez, though, who's a better fit as a RHH with solid 3B defense. But they'd need to move Holliday or Westy to OF (or trade).

I wonder if the Astros will make Jake Meyers available. He’s a good fit as a RHH CF with plus defense, & even though he doesn’t hit for power the improved K-rate could keep him from being a total hole in the lineup.

2 years of control, could still be a useful complement to EBJ or flipped next year.

I haven’t listened yet, so just a guess - you want a RHH in the middle of the lineup, because LHSP is potentially a problem. Did you know, there were EIGHT qualified LHSP in the NL this year. If I drop it to 100 ip there are 19.

Who were the top 3 NL LHSP by Fangraphs WAR you ask?

The number of RHH in the Dodgers lineup altered his game plan. That splitter is a weapon against LHH, but his slider sometimes turns cement mixer against righties.

Trey Yesavage limits the damage, but he's not going to stick around long if he can't find the splitter at all.

One beauty to K Ohtani, and nothing else competitive. It isn't as good a pitch vs. RHH, but working as a two-pitch guy isn't a recipe for success.

Blue Jays starters are heavily right handed

Dodgers were better (114 wRC+) v RHP, slightly (111 v LHP)

But Gausman & Yesavage best pitch = splitter
Bieber = changeup

Gaus BAA v LHH: .193
Yesavage: .161
Bieber: .156

All are quite a bit worse vs RHH

They could find trade partners for Casty, Marsh, Bohm. Maybe get a viable RHH OF and a C. Play Otto, Sosa and Miller at 3rd. Platoon Stott/Sosa at 2nd. Sign Bader for 2yrs. Sign Schwarber. OF=Crawford, Bader, new guy. Not likely a better team, but a reset.

Afraid to say I'm going to be stumping for the Yankees to sign Kazuma Okamoto -- RHH with some power, doesn't strike out, plays first, third and a little OF. The kind of guy you could find a way to play almost every day between McMahon, Rice, and Wells (Rice would cover C sometimes).

.8 bWAR in 100 games this year. No thanks! Do need a RHH OF who can play center, don’t need him pouting in the clubhouse at losing AB to better, younger players. Or doing homophobia

I could totally see him forcing the issue. I just don’t think they should plan on it. A RHH 4th OF who can handle CF could support EBJ just as easily as he could Cowser.

I'd bet that none of the three end up as Orioles but I think I agree with this. The good thing about Bader is that he's a more temporary RHH option, filling a short-term need without blocking EBJ and the other CF prospects coming through the system. Grisham might be a LF in a couple years, though.

Ya Otto Kemp should never play a game in the playoffs; anyone mentioning his name is not a serious person.

Need a big time RHH IMO. If they don’t get one, pitching will continue to eat us up in playoff baseball. If they can make that in the aggregate, great (I’m doubtful) but their 4 hole stinks.

They get absolutely dominated by LHP in the playoffs. In the regular season managers aren’t managing their bullpen w every option available. They throw what makes sense and is available. Not the story in the playoffs. If they don’t have a RHH that scares the other team, we are out in the NLDS again.

If he was a RHH, I’d say that if you sign Schwarber, Murakami would be great to add behind Harper. They needed a scary RHH behind Harper. Bonus for signing a Japanese player. I do not think he can come close to replacing 2022-2024 Schwarber, let alone 2025 Schwarbs.

Im cautiously all in. Every day DH since he can hit lefties. Get a RHH that can be CF insurance (cough Bader) and I think the offense could be set

I'm assuming this was the game plan but Kirby only threw one 4s fastball to a right handed hitter

BA lists Jud Fabian here but he’s an easy roster for me.

He fits the exact profile the Orioles are desperately looking for: a RHH true center fielder with plus defense and speed and plus raw power.

He may not win a spot out of camp but they may need him in ‘26 and he’d get selected in Rule V.
Difficult 40-man roster decisions are looming.

Here's one tough call for every organization 🤔 🔽

But Lockridge has a 62 wRC+ against *everyone* 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Granted that 66 against RHH is really appealing and not just noise. 🫩
