#ROSC
@melibee44.bsky.social FYI - This is what I was referring to. Sam Mraiche bought a building in Edmonton AFTER it was toured by two UCP chiefs of staff and an ADM of Health to see if it would work as a detox centre. ROSC, the private detox services provider, is now the tenant in Mraiche's building. 1
CorruptCare is the biggest and costliest scandal in the history of our province. There must be a public inquiry immediately into the UCP government’s health-care procurement practices.

Oct 2022: Marshall Smith becomes premier’s CoS.
Dec 2022: ROSC Solutions Group (RSG) co-founded by associate of M. Smith.
Dec 2022: RSG lands ~$25 million in procurement contracts not disclosed until Aug 2024.
2023: RSG gets 10s millions more.
2025: RSG owns 5 companies running on AB public $.
A few companies have made a great deal of money under the Alberta Recovery Model and there's little to show that they have actually delivered on the outcomes Albertans expect. Are people's health outcomes better off with a two-tier, American-style healthcare? The answer is almost always NO.

Alberta NDP claiming that ROSC Solutions Group, a multiple grant-receiving company closely affiliated with Marshall Smith that I frequently report on, is connecting to Sam Mraiche and the CorruptCare scandal.

By way of refresher, ROSC Solutions Group was launched by Marshall Smith affiliate Carson McPherson receiving tens of millions in public contracts before the company was operational, late 2022.

Sounds as though the CCSA will not allow uncomfortable questions near the political appointees at tomorrow’s panel - I’m hearing Q’s are entirely pre-vetted.

While Alberta Recovery Model stalwart Cedars Recovery is a conference sponsor, here are the speakers at this afternoon’s Alberta Model talk:

We were out of power here for days thanks to the failure of his gov to do anything. One friend was down for TWO WEEKS. This rat came to Rosc/Mayo and snarled at a woman for daring to tell him how hard it had been. "Let me finish I'm talking". He gives no shits about life for real people.

That contract was for Lakeview Recovery Community, Recovery Training Institute of Alberta & jail-based substance use services all to be run by the same company, ROSC Solutions Group.

The company launched around the time of this request for applications. 2/

People of Saskatchewan, read this thread as a warning. The Sask Party govt paid ROSC solutions to provide advisory reviews here. What Euan speaks about will most certainly happen in Sask. if given the chance

Five years ago today, the UCP revealed it would evict 75 unhoused men from the McCullough Centre in Gunn, AB and lay off 63 unionized workers.

Two years later, the government quietly signed a $20-30 million contract with a company owned by allies of Marshall Smith. 1/

Apologies for the late reply to this - been busy! Abt. CPR. It's even worse than that. According to a fairly recent review article I saw on PubMed: ROSC in 1 of 10; of these, half still alive after 1 month; of these, half are brain damaged and need significnr care.

It depends, but usually after 4-5 rounds of CPR without ROSC and nothing fixable I call it.

Not sure that we are ready for consolidated system operation, either. Sure, there are huge problems and a lack of co-ordination (see slow progress in ROSC process, e. g.). But I'm doubtful that more centralized processes will help here as long as there is no real commitment from Member States.
