* it was a cop bar in the '90s, where all the Rampart cops would hang out and drink, and then closed in the wake of the Rampart scandal and was bought by the drummer from the Afghan Whigs who turned it into a hipster bar (but kept the gun lockers!)

Pushing people in the Short Stop ropeline for standing quietly in the Short Stop ropeline is probably more about cops being salty they lost the Short Stop as their bar after a significant portion of the Rampart scandal unfolded there.

We found 11th-century rampart relics below the later #medieval motte castle mound.
And we have to wait for the analyses, especially the radiocarbon dating, to draw more conclusions. This will take until the beginning of next year.

It was. Then the Afghan Whigs singer bought it (w others) - it hipped up a level or five and Dodgers-ed up at least 2 levels. Kept a back room with all the Rampart cop paraphernalia that once adorned the bar. Great spot to pre-game Banquets and tamales and then hike over Elysian Park to the Ravine…

The official name for the Berlin Wall was the
" Antifaschistischer Schutzwall," which translates to "Anti-Fascist Protection
Rampart". The German Democratic Republic (GDR) government promoted it as a defensive structure to protect East Berlin from fascist powers in the West. However, it was built to stop the mass exodus of East Germans to the West.

Thinking for no reason whatsoever how the Berlin Wall was actually called the Antifascist Protection Rampart because the Soviets initially built it because they understood how thoroughly the Allies not only failed to denazify Western Europe but that they were actively empowering former Nazis.
