Heading into a busy semester of teaching (Wetland Ecology and Conservation), research (a new SERDP funded project plus two proposals on the go) and continuing to support my amazing team (and three teenagers!) - I am reminded to slow down to be grateful for a few minutes every day. Serdp has that type of funding. The degree of bureaucracy in both the application and grant admin is huge though

As the world phases out use of PFAS-based foams in #firefighting for the safer but less effective fluorine-free foams, a new Charles Darwin University project is aiming to increase the efficacy of this alternative foam.
