I leave Kluang on the slow train (18 December), stop in Gemas to switch to the fast train, and spend four days in Chow Kit. Lots of wandering and food eating but less coffee than normal - no coffee shop for 15 minutes!

I find a bed has become available on Malaysia's only sleeper train, so hurredly make my way to Kota Bharu then sleep most of the way down the line to Kluang. Features a minor encounter with law enforcement and hazardous food.

In Kuantan for one last day, I find a wonderful cafe, then I take a bus trip through the jungle to an old mining town *Sungai Lembing) where I find hardly anything at all.

I spend my last day in #Singapore visiting the Maxwell Food Centre and the Tiong Bahru housing development (and bakery) then head across the border to #JohorBahru, where I discover a couple of great cafés (more to come).
