i don't even know why. i'm not old enough to remember the first cold war. I've literally only ever heard air raid sirens once back in the States, when the ones in SF got tested. i shouldn't even have this "oh shit oh fuck we're all gonna die" reaction

#BBC seem to disproportionately platform them.
Last week's #bbcqt was 4th of the season, aside from the #Trump special. Reform have been on 2 of the episodes....

Benioff backed down in his call to bring ICE to SF. He was likely more concerned about damage to his brand and company, not any of the other stuff. That’s where we are in this trump regime. It’s all how the bottom line, not about how trump and ICE are abducting innocent people without due process.

I'm 💯 on my white lady rides public transpo everywhere, daily in Boston, and when traveling I ride in NYC, DC, SF, Chicago.
I ride in cars about 2 times a month.
It's changed over years; the no eye contact unwritten rule seems to be more firmly held post Covid. Loud and messy but rarely violent.

Predator Badlandsの女優さんどこかで観たことあるなあと思っていたらダコタの妹か！Elle Fanningって言うんだ。赤ちゃん役で"TAKEN"にも出てたんだってね。あの白イルカのシーンかな。"TAKEN"はスピルバーグらしい優しいSFだったなあ。かなり昔の事なんで良く憶えてないけど、最後までちゃんと観た。ダコタは序盤だけだね。子から親へと何代も繋がっていく物語だから。
今回のプレデターのキャスティングはエルファニングで大正解だね。なんか彼女のキャラがいい感じで効いてる。二人とも知らない間に予想より遥かにビッグになっていた。
