#ST:TNG
It's a shame that the ST:TNG episode "Conspiracy" came in s1, when multi-episode arcs were still not really a thing. It could have made a very good arc!

I'm reminded of the 1988 ST:TNG episode "Arsenal of Freedom," in which the Enterprise visits the planet Minos, which was once full of weapons merchants but they're all dead now because their "intelligent" weapons killed them all.

Not necessarily the Enterprise, but the universe of ST:TOS and ST:TNG.

why are so many ST:TNG officers not-that-secret incels?

For a hot second I interpreted Q as the omnipotent being from ST:TNG, and I was super confused! What a crossover though, hmm…

tbh, I didn't care for those 2 ST:TNG episodes. Not at all credible the Borg would be so stupid as to make sleep such a low priority / easily hackable activity.

Lovelies, if your Sunday needs a cosy, nerdy chat about Robert Holdstock's Mythago Wood, then the latest episode of Starship Alexandria can help! starshipalexandria.com/episode-8-my...
Also features @aptshadow.bsky.social mentioning insects and me NOT mentioning ST:TNG (shocking, I know!)
Starship Alexandria: Episode 8 - Mythago Wood
For our eighth episode of Starship Alexandria, Adrian puts forward the novel Mythago Wood by Robert Holdstock, for Emma to consider.  Our caveat from the episode: “If you have not read this boo...

No STII:TWoK, no ST:TNG, or any follow-through. The franchise dies in darkness.

ST:TNG had that beat before season 2 even wrapped, about a year and a half after it started airing.

Also, I'd watch TNG any day over Stranger Things.

It might be more true of the late-80s and early-00s - lost boys through ST:TNG perhaps - especially as "black father" politics went (fuck Cosby), but even there, Fresh Prince was a thing. And by the late 90s we have Sisko, and the "glow" of the wall falling was starting to fade.

Excuse, me Sir @kurtbusiek.bsky.social.

Reviewing notes on ST:TNG Doomsday World, of July 1990, I came across this quote in the picture.

At the time I recognized the MP reference, but did not know of you yet, so the name did not ring a bell & I did not memorize it. Now I find it! Is this you?

A not insignificant number of my responses were, "Well, yes, but no, because, you see, I have extensively studied this topic so that I could understand" or "for I have A System"

And it was in realizing that it's not normal to code social scripts for each individual friend like Data on ST:TNG 😅😭

I think this is in part due to everything becoming arc/serialized TV, rather than just episodic. The joy of ST:TNG is that you can just fire up an episode, and it's fun! DS9 is a better show, but if you aren't watching it in order, the later seasons have fewer and fewer episodes you can just spin up

rewatching ST:TNG, there's a few episodes that stick out to me. the episode where Picard defends Data's rights (really rings true in this climate, and something i wish would happen). but also when picard says 'fermat's last theorem, a puzzle we may never solve', lol

I think I saw the release of GTA 6 in the ST:TNG episode "Sins of the Father."

So GTA 6 will released on Stardate 43685.2

Once I was at a convention where Marina Sirtis of ST:TNG fame was a guest of honor. Instead of asking about Star Trek, Gargoyles, or Young Justice, I asked her about GameBoy Tetris. Caught her by surprise...and the next time we passed each other in the hall, she greeted me by name. 🤩

One of my favorite Twitch streamers, @ashsaidhi.bsky.social, is an unapologetic fan of Star Trek and she's into LEGO.

So, I'll imagine she'll react positively about this ST:TNG Enterprise LEGO set.

And scream in agony over the $400 price tag.

Hee! AFV is on my ‘soon’ list too.

Then I discovered ‘Strange New Worlds’ on the ITV catch-up site, & it’s *funny* & *well-written* and feels like a perfect offspring of ToD & ST:TNG.

(Not missing BBC & iPlayer, since stopping my TV licence.)

Darmak is my No.1 fav ST:TNG episode. The minions just... Well, to be honest - I'm not sure what they just did. 😆😆😆
