I'm pretty sure all my writing started with distracting myself from other stuff I was supposed to be doing. My mind didn't want to do schoolwork, I'd write comics, or song-lyrics, or in my teens try to do a book series. In college I got on Prodigy and I wrote on there. Was easier then too.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

My Niece doesn't want to do her schoolwork with her momma at home she said does everything at school fine but when she goes to review with her she gets an attitude and refuses....and now I'm trying to think what we can do to help with that

Both of my parents encouraged creativity (even when it got in the way of me doing my schoolwork and my therapist at the time told me to stop) and had no problem buying supplies for me when I was younger.

today im driving through a snowstorm on the highway to find out what my options are wrt being kicked off the biologic im on because some insurance ceo decided it’d be cheaper for me to die. then im coming home (through the worsening snowstorm) and my schedule for chores and schoolwork is 8 hrs long❤️

ahfskshgklshlkdhs i hate rereading stuff i wrote so much bro not even just the art stuff but like, even schoolwork. i dont hate *myself* but i do hate,,, or rather, feel no connection to/ have no recognition towards, a lot of things related to how i present myself on the outside. if that makes sense

I liked drawing and painting much the same way as most little kids initially but then in second grade there were no toys for imaginative play in the classroom and i was very upset by that so i played toys by drawing the little scenes in my head. It also helped me escape from schoolwork lol

The majority of ChatGPT users appear to be kids cheating on schoolwork, and they’re not going to be paying a monthly fee for that.

i like graph paper because otherwise i end up writing in an increasingly cramped/slanted scrawl where it ends up looking like arcane symbols drawn on top of each other lol
as a kid they made me do my schoolwork using voice to text software because i couldn't write or type for the longest time

I've done more than I should've to continue focusing on my school work and it really sucks that despite putting aside my hobbies I didn't actually gain anything from putting all my energy into my schoolwork. Feels kind of like I've wasted a lot of time and energy for nothing.
