It seems the real WICKED was in the heart of the scriptwriter

nobody cares but edgar wright is one of the best directors and cinematographers ever, and the single worst scriptwriter I have seen in my life and it’s not even close

Pretty disgusting if you ask me. Who is the scriptwriter? Stephen Miller?

Unless a scriptwriter is proposing to explain why James Bond is 90 years old but doesn’t look it, I can’t see why they should concern themself with continuity at this late date.

It's about time I was recognized for my work as Rap/Hip Hop Scriptwriter.

I was a bit disappointed Bob didn't mention the STINGRAY sketch for the DES O'CONNOR SHOW (1965) in his autobiography. Tony Hawes, the credited scriptwriter for the show, was an associate of Monkhouse, but it was only later that Monkhouse talked about meeting Gerry Anderson to negotiate the props.

Wow. Even in the deepest, darkest moments any scriptwriter would surely struggle to come up with "the district court's order threatens significant and irreparable harm to the government which outweighs any claimed injury to plaintiffs."

A scriptwriter imagines an encounter between a teenage boy and a young woman at a beach in “Two Seasons, Two Strangers.”
‘Two Seasons, Two Strangers’ captures the subtle sadness of Yoshiharu Tsuge’s manga
Director Sho Miyake transforms two of the cult manga artist’s stories into a poetic film that’s hard to forget.

In my biography of the tv scriptwriter Malcolm Hulke "Things are not always what they seem" I discuss his work with Eric Paice on the children's science fiction series "Pathfinders In Space" in early 1960s www.lulu.com/shop/michael...

J.J. Stewart – From Obscurity To Oblivion
JJ made it through to the series five semi-final of New Faces in March 1977, earning him this 1978 album. Scriptwriter Mike Walling, another series five competitor, went on to play Eric in the sitcom Brush Strokes.

Seriously. Every little comment is so appreciated. Especially detailed ones. Shout out to @neondextrose.bsky.social and @mipha13.bsky.social who often give such thoughtful feedback in comments to both the VA and Scriptwriter. 💖
If you like a scriptwriter’s work, please tell them, I beg. Especially if it’s something you’ve consumed for free.

Someone said something nice to me this morning and I’m still thinking about it hours later - it really does make a difference.

Literally every writer 👇

I will stand by I’m only as good as my script (and if I perform poorly it’s not on the scriptwriter at all). It’s the writers and editors here that make it so lifelike and worthwhile
As a VA, I want to make it very clear, that the script writers deserve the same amount of love. It's stinky when scriptwriters don't get the same level of love.

anyway i'll be happy if they considered all this but ultimately it's just the scriptwriter, director and actor's interpretation so i'm going to treat it like fanwork and have fun either way. the ruka i'm seeing from previews looks a lot more energetic than laidback though

Remembering author and scriptwriter Nigel Kneale, who we lost on this day in 2006.
Such an enduring legacy, as frequently revisited and admired as these cherished Penguin paperbacks.
Timeless works.

The problem with selling ‘intelligence’ as a product, is that you need to assume all your customers are thick. There’s no room for experts, everyone needs to have an intelligence deficit. So you end up telling Oscar winning scriptwriter Dame Emma Thompson that her writing could be better.
"I DON'T NEED YOU TO FUCKING REWRITE WHAT I'VE JUST WRITTEN!"

I think it's for the best that Disney doesn't interfere with the creative process considering they can't even handle their own IPs at the moment.

I hope they abandon the spectacle of CGI, big sets, and musicals(???) and focus on getting a good scriptwriter with good dialogue.

‘Pike River is essential viewing for all New Zealanders.’ Congrats to all involved, but especially scriptwriter and 2026 Mansfield Fellow Fiona Samuel, who was interviewed on Radio NZ’s Culture 101 on Sunday.
Review: Pike River is a triumphant ode to two friends and their fight
A story of corporate failures, broken political promises, and everyday people doing extraordinary things.
