Bernie Sanders: "What this Senate is about to do is make a horrific situation even worse. So let's be clear what this vote is about. If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are gonna see at least a doubling in their premiums in the ACA."

Ms. Schwenn told me:

"you can't work in this lab if you can't deal with automated track system, instruments, computer system, &/or quality control

not working the way it's supposed to 100% of time.

Don't be so unreasonable & ridiculous!"

USA #SickCareForProfit offered damn near 0 phone interview opportunities for 3 months after 1-yr Springfield, VT contract ended in late November '23.

I was offered a contract in St. Johnsbury, VT during that time - but it was rescinded after I requested #ActuallyAutistic ADA accommodations.

Insurance companies aren’t just players in the fight with doctors over money; they’re also the referees.

They produce their own guidelines on when to pay claims. If a doctor appeals a denial, insurers make all the initial decisions.

Amongst top publicly traded corporations, CEO compensation grew 1,209% from 1978 to 2022, while the typical worker's compensation grew only 15.3%.

As of 2022, CEOs were paid 344 times as much as a typical worker.

Please get your flu *AND* #CovidIsNotOver (if your state or #SickCareForProfit provider hasn't thrown a gazillion Kafkaesque bureaucratic hurdles in the way of accessing the latter) 💉s,

STAT!
Actual doctor here: please do the opposite of whatever this nonsense is and consult your physician before making medical decisions.

Don’t practice medicine without a medical degree. Please get your flu shot this winter. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It's easy to think--at least he's telling families to vaccinate their kids. But the effect will be lower vaccination rates. Why?

Those who already avoid vaccines will see this as validating their extra caution. And some on the fence will now try to delay/spread out shots and end up skipping some.

#MedicareForAll, STAT -

because #SickCareForProfit USA has had for my entire lifetime (47 years) is #Ableist #Eugenic #Ageist #Classist & barbaric as fuck!

We the Lower 99% Income People are sick & tired of the latter!!!
Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

The point I'm attempting to make is I believe subsidies are ineffectual "band-aid" on a gaping slash wound in coverage under #SickCareForProfit.

It needs to be extensively overhauled, if not 100% replaced with #MedicareForAll, in USA within next decade!

#SickCareForProfit - current #Ableist, inhumane, Kafkaesque system in USA!

My very important question:

Will House & Senate Democrats (especially if they regain power in 2026 midterm elections) consider #PublicOption as first *LONG OVERDUE* step toward #MedicareForAll?!
Americans are sick of skipping doctor’s appointments, rationing medicine & delaying lifesaving surgeries because health care is so expensive.

If we don’t act now, millions of Americans will lose their health insurance. Dems are fighting to protect our people & reopen the government.

Truth:

in original & post-ACA systems, blend of

disconnected services & payments,

government subsidies

& complex, competing regulations

has left us with a real rat’s nest of a
#SickCareForProfit regime.

It frustrates patients, providers & employers who are obligated to provide coverage.

HELLO!

A lot of the reason for significantly ⬆️ health care costs in USA is a fundamentally broken, #Ableist #Eugenic Kafkaesque #SickCareForProfit system!

I have enough of my own odd symptoms, but thanks. I don't even bother talking to doctors about them or about long COVID other than to tell them I have it. They got nothing for us so far.

Mom initially vehemently resisted the #SickCareForProfit rehab facility advice - until around her birthday, June 21, 2023, when she finally entered Green Mountain Nursing & Rehab home in Colchester, VT.

I wrote a Google review about that place, excoriating them for turning on bright lights at 5A.

Mom demanded to be released from University of Vermont Medical Center to home care after 1-2 weeks - instead of "living" there for months, as #SickCareForProfit motivated doctors "recommended."

She self-administered at least 6 weeks of IV antibiotic & IV anti-fungal agent via PICC line.

I'm definitely on the side of lower 99% human beings who get hurt by this shit,

*NOT* on the side of lucratively compensated, ridiculously (in deservingly) privileged #SickCareForProfit C-WTF-Os.
