Right at the end of this volume, Clint Langley comes in as artists - I love this early style of his! I think this looks incredible.

Slaine, Niamh, Ukko and everyone converge together in a pretty satisfying way. There’s still a LOT more Slaine to come though…
Slaine leads a revolt against the occupying forces - I honestly can’t remember the name of them, my history is lazy - but he sticks up two fingers at them to show he is able to fire a longbow Slaine races through a snowy forest, looking for Niamh

With Simon Bisley moving on, I think there was an editorial decision to continue fully painted pages for Slaine moving forward. The result is a lot of artist turnover - imagine this was very hard to do!

Glenn Fabry is up first, recapping that Slaine is now the High King - and very bored.
Slaine complains to Ukko that being king is boring and he isn’t allowed to fight anyone anymore - and he’s surrounded by yes men
