A big part of revision is listening. Reading silently won’t catch clunky dialogue or stiff sentences the way hearing it aloud does.
I use Speechify Pro to hear my draft before sending it to my editor—game-changer for spotting fixes early. Highly recommend.

Getting into an opinion that are far more speculative, I think this is why their favorite politicians are the gadflies who grandstand and speechify and who don't introduce any legislation except naming a post office or two. They want stunts that diminish Congress because they want fiat EOs.

Malicious compliance! Yes! That's the ticket. Every federal employee who doesn't get fired needs to follow these guidelines. Have meetings, speechify, waste as much time as possible, and never quite get around to implementing whatever treason-of-the-week is on Musk's agenda.

Part of my creative process is to put my edited document into #Speechify & listen to it being read back. I'm currently working on a romance at this "final" stage & uploaded it yesterday. I was shocked at how often my character said 'seriously.' Listening is so helpful in highlighting unwanted tics.

It’s a shame I didn’t discover the read aloud function on word or speechify before I published my first book. As an AuDHD person, I just don’t process the written word the way I ought to. So I highly recommend this tool for editing.

I would propose instead of wasting time making sound bytes for SM..she put in the time and effort trying to get some plan to combat all the many topics she likes to speechify about..instead of just listing them, with no ideas ever offered on how to solve them.

And if i want to add the article to speechify and it has FUCKING FOOTNOTES I have to capture each page separately and crop out the goddamn footnotes to make it even listenable. Also if I could read this wouldn't be a problem but sadly I never learned how :(

There are many text to speech apps. I am not sure what @felinelover420.bsky.social is looking. While I am not an Android user, my favorite app Speechify is available on Android. While it's main purpose is reading articles, books, etc, it has an option where you can type text and it will read it.

I used Speechify to narrate the book to me so that I can catch flow, mispellings and things that ProWritersAid doesn't pick up. I already know that it
1) Doesn't relay emotion properly
2) Doesn't catch the right intonation at times
3) Can't deal with non-English words well
