Can you pose outside the spellow looking mafia (standard Reidy)

Not long left and I’d like to paint a legend

So if you know of a legend bring him too

It's not everyday your local library gets featured in the @nytimes.com, but then the reopening of Spellow was no ordinary story....

🎵Destruction leads to a very rough road, But it also breeds creation🎵
03.08.24: A fire started by rioters destroys Spellow Road Library and Community Centre, #Liverpool.
03.08.25 'We Are Home' is released. It's my 'creation' as a response to the destruction.

I went into County Road to survey the damage. Apart from the damage to the library itself you would have no idea of the mayhem unleashed by fascists and petty criminals at the weekend. On the Spellow Hub, I saw this sign.

This is our response to the awful attack on Spellow Library.
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected - directly or indirectly - by the horrific racist abuse and the right wing riots these past weeks.

There's a fundraiser to help replenish and repair Spellow Library after the riots, so kids in our community can still enjoy reading this summer. Even a small donation can make a huge difference, so please click the link below to donate or share it around. Thanks!

I once went the Khazi in the Spellow, the lavatory was minus a seat and toilet roll. When I asked the manager why there was no toilet roll his answer was ‘they steal it lad to throw on the pitch’. My answer was “what about the seat”?

Many positives on Spellow Hub Library with £250k raised to repair mindless destruction of 300 far right looters after appeal by a 27 yo Alex McCormick. But frenzied conspiracy & xenophobia following Southport murders of 3 beautiful innocents remains a warning we must heed www.bbc.com/news/article...

Im a couple in the Melrose Abbey, Couple in the Spellow, then sneak one before kick off in the ground type guy.

Get some decent beers on and keep it at around £5 a pint, no queues, decent surroundings and footy on and I'd happily go straight to the ground

Sounds like a sound plan. Think we’ll head to the spellow and/or brick after the game. My mate is getting a later train than we agreed on, the tit.

You might not have seen this during your holiday, but the Spellow Lane Library Hub was seriously damaged by fire during the riots in Liverpool. All proceeds from this new CPD session on teaching novels will be donated to the rebuild effort: t.co/2ZkZEeR1Zv

Had to take my lad to a college event up at Everton Free school on Spellow Lane the other night.

Parked the car & saw this priceless bit of graffiti, a throwback to the reign of Marco Silver (sic) 😀

And this evening on Channel 4 news @frankcottrellboyce.bsky.social took the opportunity to point out how many libraries have been closed by austerity and have not reopened. One good news story like Spellow is great, but it is an exception. Charity cannot bring the others back.

Considering I live over the road from Spellow library that was infamously set fire to this time last year by moronic children and their empty-headed, negligent parents, I've only seen one St George's flag tied to a streetlamp round my part of Liverpool. I've never had any qualms about the flag.

"Wherever they burn books they will also, in the end, burn human beings." - Heinrich Heine

Rioters last night set fire to Spellow Library ... just what sort of country do these thugs "want back"? Sounds reminiscent of Naziism to me ...
