Der Ship Builder in Starfield ist spaßig, aber das Drumherum ist trivial. Nun hat No Man's Sky einen sowas umgesetzt und es funktioniert irre gut und ist total immersiv. Es ist halt geil, durch das eigene Raumschiff zu laufen.

OH I HAVE THEORIES. It's obvious they've been iterating the settlement system for a long time, starting with Skyrim, then Fallout 4, 76, and Starfield, and before that a little with Morrowind.

so, started playing outer worlds 2 yesterday, been a while since i just played a game until 3am.
was a nice mentally refreshing day.

STAR WARS: GENESIS is actually shaping up to be a pretty good total conversion mod for STARFIELD. It may be worth buying that game just to play it!

Starfield's issue is that in order to have a strong modder community, you need a pretty decent game to begin with.
Strong foundation and all that.

People mention water and power usage. I use AI regularly, at home, using models I run on my own equipment. I've made my own LoRAs, using my own GPU. And none of it ever used more electrical power than if I were playing a game like Cyberpunk or Starfield. And no water at all.

Huh.
I got a fair few hours into Starfield, may even have almost beaten most of the story lines. But the SECOND I completed my goal of building the largest ship I could without mods, I turned off the game and never went back because I just was not motivated to continue.

Ps5, Xbox Series X, and a Switch 2
I regret the Xbox with the lack of exclusives, I think I’ve only bought and played Halo Infinite and Starfield. It’s a real shame, I was ride or die Xbox since the first console. I’ve had to justify the purchase by playing all cross-platform games on Xbox

I've talked about this before, but my dream for Elder Scrolls 6 is to combine all the stuff that's come before like Hearthfire and Fallout 4 and Starfield and give us the ability to build a fully functional keep with an effect on gameplay. Our own custom Whiterun, if you will.

It's 2025 and people are *still* modding and improving Skyrim, updating it to 4K, fixing bugs, adding quests and items and expansions ...
I wonder if we'll ever see a game like that again, because if Starfield is anything to go by the answer might be "no."

Was thinking about picking up Fallout 4 again, but naaaaah. If I'm gonna play a game running on a fifteen year-old game engine, I might as well wait for the PS5 version of Starfield. At least that's something I haven't played yet.
