If we’re doing #StayReady right, we’re not doing it for ourselves alone but to help out the most vulnerable among us. Renée is onto something here & we can only imagine how hard hit local food banks & homeless shelters are going to be, especially as we head into the winter months.
Suggestion for those who still have an income and looking for ways to help out. Keep your eyes peeled for BOGO deals at your local supermarket/pharmacy. Non-perishables, hygiene supplies, etc. are in need at your local food banks and homeless shelters.

Today in #StayReady
Renewed my membership at the farm co-op in town, then took advantage of the 15% discount on pressed logs for the woodstove.
Starters for the logs are also on sale. Spending more now to take advantage of a sale. Once I check my oil lamps & my current oil supply, I’ll go back.

Got the hose to vacuum seal jars! Not everything goes best in a plastic bag ☺️ Not a substitute for canning, but will still lengthen shelf life, especially in my basement.
