Plan rapproché sur une tourterelle émergeant d'un petit fossé. On voit seulement le haut de son corps (épaules, cou, tête). Son corps fait face à l'objectif et sa tête est tournée vers la droite, montrant son profil. Elle est entourée d'herbes vertes et d'herbes sèches inondées de soleil. La lumière l'éclaire sur sa droite et illumine son iris rouge, faisant ressembler son œil à un rubis. L'ambiance est ensoleillée, colorée et contrastée.
