“When males have sex with males who are postpubsecent, that’s called homosexuality, not pedophilia.”

So priests who had sex with 12 yo boys were not pedophiles. Jfc

Only pedophiles makes these Symantec argument.

I was working at Symantec when we observed that ransomware attacks made a sudden shift to happending during business hours in large parts of Russia. That was an early signal of where it was going.

I never used DoubleSpace, but abused MultiConfig a lot:

Chinese APT 'Emperor Dragonfly' Moonlights With Ransomware
NEWS BRIEF A recent RA World ransomware attack utilized a tool set that took researchers by surprise, given that it has been associated with China-based espionage actors in the past. According to Symantec, the attack occurred in late 2024. The tool set includes a legitimate Toshiba executable named toshdpdb.exe that deploys on a victim's device. It then connects to a malicious dynamic link library (DLL) that deploys a payload containing a PlugX backdoor.

I still cringe thinking about my previous job where any time I would kick off an image build in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, the Symantec DLP window would pop up and slow a 30-minute process to a 4-hour one while it inspected 50gb+ worth of OS image, scripts, drivers, installers, etc...

Hogshit.

Yes, I i was also thinking about that as well. Something I didn't check is whether old Linux releases only have this outdated CA.

I have been through this with a Symantec CA that expired on EL5 and we didn't update the cá-certificate package ahhahaha.

The mistake, in retrospect, was installing the Plex server on the Symantec NAS with the media files.

Time to open the Raspberry Pi crate again.
