This is stupid but if any of yall have robotic characters can u show me?? i wanna make a robot of some kind but my brain keeps going "just make a kerfus". Any kind of robot works even if its just a gaming pc with whore eyes i wanna see. I wanna get some practice in with synthetics

A really cathartic thing in this moment of incandescent rage is Predator: Badlands. Fuckin’ rips. Under 2 hours, monster is hot and emo, Elle Fanning incredible in the murderer’s row of Weyland Yutani synthetics, has perfect sense of humor and pace for its barbarian tone. Knows how to be a movie.

Just gimme a big budget series with colonial marines, xenomorphs, civilian colonists, youtja, and WY synthetics & bio research security forces

So, I am truly sorry, but this is AI generated. And the thing that pisses me off so much about it is that there might actually be genuine magical moments like this happening out in the real world. But now they're rendered worthless because of synthetics like this.

“I saw her sittin’ in the vulture’s nest/
Just a twirlin’ her arms/
Because she had no legs/
Me and her went for a hike, sir/
And twenty-eight Weyland-Yutani synthetics died.”

i think it has a lot to do with huge improvements in synthetics. we grew up thinking of polyester as cheap unbreathable junk. now it’s “performance fabric.”

Washing synthetics on hot melts the fabric.

Disagree, I found the show really interesting, although it cares little for the xenomorphs and focused instead on the synthetics and (new to the universe) cyborgs. It had neat things to say about humanity, what makes a person, and I can't wait to see where they go next!

“Reminder that most women of child-bearing age you’ll meet are walking test-tubes of synthetic hormones, mood stabilizers, and stimulants. Be careful.”

Yep. Be careful of those test tube synthetics.

Me, a cyborg girl: how do you do, fellow synthetics?

Synthetics issue 3 cover! Such an amazing series to play in. J Michael Straczynski, Carrie Strachan, and Steve Dutro are all wonderful to work with, and Dark Horse is amazing.

Issue 3 is available for preorder now, so talk to your friendly local comic shop!

Rosemary & Co (UK based) makes some of my favorite brushes ever. I recommend the kolinsky rounds for inking personally, but they have excellent synthetics too. links comin':

I saw this myself when homeless people lived near the Bus Interchange in Otautahi. Dealers of extremely dangerous synthetics preying on their misery.

Not weighing in on your whole argument, but on this point: T shirt fabric is generally a lot thinner if cotton or horrible polyester synthetics. Quality of a lot of clothing is down. At least what’s carried in basic middle class retailers.

Elle Fanning tells us how she approached playing 2 different Weyland-Yutani synthetics in ‘PREDATOR: BADLANDS’

“It was definitely a challenge. We really wanted to differentiate the two... I was never playing both on the same day, so I did have time to focus on each character.”

i think what is amazing about synthetics is that they will inherently understand that it's easier for me to type out my thoughts rather than physically express them and what it is like to navigate through life so quietly through such invisible mediums that paradoxically are so public and traceable

Natural dyeing methods never cease to mesmerize me, and Kiyoshi Omae's mission to keep kakishibu dyeing alive isn't the exception! I loathe the push for synthetics, especially considering they're killing skilled work such as this.
Despite familiar threats of synthetic alternatives and a declining workforce, Shiga Prefecture's persimmon dyers believe the traditional craft is still worth the effort.
Sun-dried and sustainable, Japan’s persimmon dye lives on
Thanks to Japan's largest freshwater lake, Shiga Prefecture has long thrived as a production center of persimmon tannin dyeing.

Did not disappoint. Pretty cool future-tech thriller that's got a movie-like feel. Great job by the creative team and looking forward to the next one!

Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics adds multi-browser support in AWS GovCloud Regions
Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics multi-browser support is now available in the AWS GovCloud (US-East, US-West) Regions. This expansion enables customers in these two regions to test and monitor their web applications using both Chrome and Firefox browsers. With this launch, you can run the same canary script across Chrome and Firefox when using Playwright-based canaries or Puppeteer-based canaries. CloudWatch Synthetics automatically collects browser-specific performance metrics, success rates, and visual monitoring results while maintaining an aggregate view of overall application health. This helps development and operations teams quickly identify and resolve browser compatibility issues that could affect application reliability. To learn more about configuring multi-browser canaries, see the https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/CloudWatch_Synthetics_Canaries.html in the Amazon CloudWatch Synthetics User Guide.

I wasn’t aware that synthetics had caught up to that extent. Fascinating. (Also potentially devastating).
