The "American Dream" faces scrutiny. While some see upward mobility, others argued systemic inequality and limited opportunities make escaping poverty incredibly difficult, regardless of effort. Hard work alone isn't always enough to break the cycle. #SocialMobility 5/5

Is poverty a choice or a trap? HN debated personal responsibility vs. systemic barriers. While hard work matters, many argued that lack of opportunities, sheer luck, and societal structures often keep individuals locked in cycles of poverty. #SystemicIssues 3/5

Overview: HN discussed "being broke" vs. "being poor." It's about more than money; it's a deep dive into poverty's psychological impacts, societal roles, and the struggle to escape. Debates on individual choice vs. systemic barriers highlighted the need for empathy. #PovertyInsights 1/5

Blaming gender doesn't excuse or normalize abuse. We need to hold individuals accountable and fight systemic misogyny. Let's channel that anger into action! #blueresistance
I hate Trump and all his maggats. But in regard to the #Epstein files, I have to say that men are men, and if they weren’t, mankind would long have been extinct.

Ageism is one of the most common form of systemic violence and practically no one cares because they're not children anymore

🥽unless we are talking about Ted Bundy, I.e. someone who will definitely go murder a bunch of people if allowed to walk the streets, prison doesn’t do any of that

Prison being the punishment all transgressions is a form of systemic neglect. It’s our society not giving a shit about stopping crime

For 6 years now, I’ve had a pattern that usually begins with insomnia, progresses to constant projectile vomiting & then seizures. I’ve just had to beg them to do look for systemic issues because they’ve siloed these into separate conditions despite starting at the same time & flaring together. And

I don’t think anyone can look at the world and think we don’t all, individually and collectively, need saving. What is original sin but the state of being born into an unbroken chain of trauma? What are the “powers and principalities” we are at war with but all the forms of systemic oppression?

The right-wing populist movement has long been animated by conspiracy theories, from QAnon to stolen elections. But the Epstein scandal is different.

It’s not a fantasy. It’s documented reality of elite depravity and systemic corruption.

The names are real, the court records are real...
Republicans Breaking Ranks on Epstein!
For the first time in years, the GOP’s conspiracy-minded base and its loudest populist figures are openly defying Donald Trump.

Bootstrap narrative - the idea an individual can achieve success solely through their own hard work, personal responsibility, and initiative, without external help... misleading because it downplays the impact of systemic issues, societal advantages, or disadvantages, and external factors..

i mean woke is a thing in the sense of its original meaning (awareness of racist discrimination, particularly systemic racism) but as a scary catchall term it means pretty much nothing

And it serves to obscure who is responsible for this level of systemic violence. It is always the boogie man. It is always the other. The axis of evil and the allies are the same thing and yet we play into the discourse.

Reports of Grigory Severin living in unsanitary detention conditions expose the harsh reality for many political prisoners. This neglect adds another layer to the state's systemic disregard for human rights and reinforces calls for accountability.

White people are really committed to disparaging cities with majority Black populations and reinforcing negative stereotypes as if crime is not an intentional systemic failure.

Thorough investigation, massive manpower and Crooks still acted alone. We need systemic reforms to stop lone attacks before they start.

Yeah. The social stigma can stand in for the systemic. Vigilantism is an acceptable disciplinary mechanism for the fuckers who want this.

- gaps in the population of workers (aka rate of labour supply growth)
- systemic barriers pushing high skilled workers into low wage jobs
- misuse of federal programs like the temporary foreign worker program by businesses like Tim Hortons

💯 correct. This why we have to keep standing against them. Black are not here to do the jobs no one wants. I'm so sick of systemic racism in America.

Respectfully, other Western countries have far fewer of these giant vehicles and have far better crash fatality rates. This is a systemic issue in the US and can't be blamed on the typical American's vehicle/car seat choice. But admitting that SUVs are destructive is the first step toward change.
