I saw a supporter of Kirk gushing about how good TFIOS is. There’s a great deal that’s wrong with this. TFIOS was penned by John Green… an advocate for being a decent human and making the world a better place. Kirk was a fraud, a bigot and a racist. I had to express this without being unhinged.

To this day I sometimes forget some of my favorite sayings are from TFIOS. I love citing “I contain multitudes” and “some infinities are bigger than other infinities” Like seriously reference them in my head much more frequently than I ever expected.

2011 was half my life ago! 14 year old me really needed TFIOS when it came out, i'm so grateful i had it then. it's both surreal and a relief that i'm so far removed from that point in time, though.

I just let my mom read my copy of TFIOS (rare green marker signed first-edition!!) for the first time the other day. She's become approximately as obsessed with it as we all were when it came out. (still wish I got a hanklerfish but we can't all win)
