I just have to say that this was the very first episode of @extrahotgreat.com I ever listened to (although I had been listening to Again With This for awhile and was longtime TWoP reader).
Whenever this signal goes up, I must by law mention I once went on Extra Hot great podcast & not only participated in a Star Trek fantasy draft (life goal accomplished), also more importantly—I made the case for DS9’s Duet deserving a place in the TV canon (my finest hour) extrahotgreat.com/ehg-124/

The slowness of Web 1.0 media is what I miss the most. The way the TWoP recaps dropped pretty much a full week after the episode, giving both the authors and the community much more time for constructive ruminating before Takes needed to exist.

If you’re not old enough or online enough to remember when the TWoP mods banned Aaron Sorkin from the West Wing forum for being a whiny little bitch and he wrote a whole episode about it you shouldn’t be in charge of anything on the internet.

BB8 was my first BB & I remember constantly refreshing your T**tter feed. I also relied on TWOP to show clips all night long. I go into every final 3 looking for that level of commitment & guts. I’m usually left feeling let down. But the look of most final 3 comps is so good I want to try one.
