I'm Caytlin, and I have fibromyalgia and various neurodivergencies. I draw a webcomic called Tamberlane about a community of animals finding a human child and not knowing what it is.

My fursona Adie, a ginger catfox, with a gently melancholy look on her face. She is sitting with her knees drawn up to her chest in grass as moss starts to creep up her body in patches. Greenery has grown around her in vines and leaves and pink flowers. A monarch butterfly perches on her ear tip. She brushes one of the vines with the back of her hand as she gazes at it. This piece was done to represent the feeling of being chronically ill and disabled. I love the gift of going slow, but I'm sad that I feel like everything moves on without me. I'm alone in a beautiful grotto of slowness. A comic page from Tamberlane, my webcomic. Cur, a jackal-jerboa bully, is shouting at Tamberlane, a little brown girl, in the snow. He's sarcastically telling her that he's sorry everyone loves her so much, and that she's so *special*. Tamberlane uses sign language to supplement her speech, as she says she doesn't want to be special. He rejoinders that it's too bad, but special just means different. And you know what happens to creatures who are different. This is a page of Tamberlane, my webcomic. In it, Milo, a blue macaw-horse is talking to Oakewood, a grumpy librarian coyote who seems to be keeping the book he's looking at a secret. Milo is trying to get Oakewood to go with him -- he calls him Uncle, and asks what he's hiding. Oakewood snaps and snarls, telling Milo to go on without him. Then he hunches over the book in fear as Milo runs away in the background. A painting of Belfry, a pink bat, and Tamberlane, a brown girl with green eyes, laying down in the grass at the water's edge. It's a sunny day, and Tamberlane is entrances by a caterpillar that's crawling on her hand. She's using her other finger to give it a bridge to keep crawling along. Belfry is smiling in a motherly fashion (since she's Tamberlane's adoptive mother). She wears a sunhat that shades her eyes, but peeks of sun scatter across her face through it.

Did some self-indulgent #art for cooldown today! Convinced hubs to make this iteration of Jason a werecat instead of a werewolf (yes, same character is inspiration for Tamberlane's Jason, haha). So I had to do some cute doodles.
Amber's dragon form (which is kind of like a winged deer-lion thing with rounded horns and flowers) happy and blushing and smiling as she cuddles up with a scarred scruffy black cat, who's cuddling back with a happy smile. A scruffy blue-eyed black cat with scars and a notched ear looking cockily toward the viewer. A separate image shows the same cat but humanoid, crouched, and giving a feral blue stare to the viewer.

Damn, hearing similar stuff from all the greats in furry comics makes me feel like I gotta send more good comments y’all’s way. Sorry you’ve had to deal with so much discouraging stuff like that.

Tamberlane’s an inspiration, it’s one of a kind, heartwarming, and we’re very lucky to have it! :)
